Our reusable breast pads have a waterproof outer layer made with 100% recycled polyester which are from post consumer recycled bottles. The outer layer also has a PUL (Polyurethane Laminate) bonded to the inside which makes it waterproof.

 

The core is a 100% polyester towelling which is super absorbent. The inner layer is 53% recycled polyester and 47% polyester knitted in a honeycomb structure which draws the milk from the surface of the pad and holds it in the core.

 

The inner layer is not 100% recycled because the fibre structure works better as a blend of the two types of raw material.  The non-recycled polyester in this fabric is ionised with bamboo charcoal which gives it its anti bacterial and odour preventative properties currently they cannot ionise recycled fibres.

The honeycomb layer is next to your skin.  It’s super soft so won’t irritate sore nipples.

There is no right answer to this. 

 

To be safe pack between 4 and 10. But if your colostrum comes in before you have given birth you may want more so you can use our reusable breast pads to stop your bras getting wet or stained from nipple cream.

The best way to wash the NORA breast pads is to pop them in the wash at 30 degrees with non-bio powder for best results.  Do not use fabric conditioners or harsh stain removers as they can damage the waterproof layer and reduce absorbency.

 

There is no reason why you can’t chuck them in with your usual whites wash.

You can use our reusable breast pads for as long as you are producing milk.  Just wash and reuse.
