About

NORA was founded nearly a decade ago by a husband-and-wife team passionate about reducing waste and creating organic, body-safe products. In January 2025, Soul Purpose—a nonprofit focused on empowering women—acquired NORA, ushering in a new era focused not only on sustainability, but on global social change. Through this acquisition, NORA gained access to thousands of reusable pads, which have since been distributed to girls in need around the world. This new chapter marks the beginning of a bold social enterprise focused on advancing period equity and empowering women globally.

An African woman, with a journey deeply rooted in witnessing and experiencing the harsh reality of period poverty, the silent struggle that forces many girls to feel ashamed of something as natural as menstruation. This reality ignited a dream in her: to work toward ending period poverty and ensuring no girl suffers in silence. That dream became a reality when she joined Soul Purpose Foundation. Where her work goes beyond assisting in the production of NORA pads. It’s about
rewriting the narrative for girls who have been silenced by shame and lack of
access.
