SMALL PADS, BIG IMPACT
Insufficient access to period products can be a huge barrier to girls attending and succeeding in school, especially in remote areas of India. In connection with ExtraordiNari Connections, NORA donates washable period care kits to girls in Uttarakhand, India enabling these girls to stay in school and help them reach their potential.
NORA partnered with teen girls from a local church group in the U.S. to assemble over 200 kits, each containing 17 reusable pads and a waterproof storage and wash bag. Once packaged, the kits were sent to Uttarakhand, India, where they were distributed to girls in need. Through our partnership with ExtraordiNari Connections, each recipient also participated in a hygiene and sexual health education session.
